The Danakil territory is the desert that has a very hard environmental condition as one of the hottest and most inhospitable places on earth. However, ACISDA hopes that everything to be improved through its community and sustainable development programmes to alleviate poverty, health conditions, and economic, social and educational problems by working together with local, regional and federal Authorities, local communities and traditional institution to improve the living conditions of the Zone 5 population.

In the beginning of our first programme aimed at reducing the maternal mortality of women in child birth, young children and maternal, new-born and infant mortality of the zone 5 population. In 2009, we established our first contact and networking co-operation with the Association MNA“Mieux Naître en Afrique” ( Better Born in Africa) which is based in France and founded and chaired by Doctor Claude-Emile Tourné to address health associated problems to address the maternal mortality of women in child birth and young children, new-born and infant mortality in zone 5 population. Since 2009, ACISDA and MNA have been working together with MNA through exchanging expertize, knowledge and health related trainings. Donated Medical equipment had been received from MNA. Our relationship with MNA is principally based on mutual trust and confidence. The project is totally managed and lead by local peoples themselves.

Our first experience has enabled us to increase our network, and that we were able to meet with ESF “Electriciens Sans Frontières” (Electricians Without Borders), an organization that works inthe field of access to Energy and Water supply in developing countries with which we have signed a “Partnership Agreement” based on mutual responsibility and team work to provide Skills Trainings opportunity for local Young People on Solar Installations and Learning Electricity and Water and as well as supplying water electricity for local Health Centers and Schools.

Our main funder is the France Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia through its FSD with whom we have forged an excellent relation based on mutual confidence and transparency, which continues to this day to support our projects to help improve the quality of life of zone 5 population. Our second contributor or funder is the Japanese Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We believe that our practical experience and project management skills have helped us to expand our collaboration greater level with other organisations at local and regional levels, such as Kelissa Association ----- sponsor girls. ACISDA wish to expand its networking and connections with NGOs nationally and internationally, particularly, grant making charities,  foundations, donors and social media sectors to meet the needs of our localities and peoples. Commitment, trust, transparency, insurance and experience are our key words of our Project work.
